DescriptionOn Front: 5159. The New York Public Library, New York City. On Back: Public Library. New York Public library is located on Fifth Avenue, covering two entire blacks from 40th to 42nd Streets. It is built entirely of marble and cost $9, 000, 000. The corner-stone was laid November 10, 1902, the Library was opened May 23, 1911. The main stock room is 270 feet long, contains 1, 6, 000 volumes and has 7, 000 periodicals on file.
