DescriptionCaption on back reads: ""The Acton Library. Built in 1873 to house a collection of books started as early as 1736, the Library became 'free to the inhabitants of the town' in 1904. It now has more than 20, 000 books in circulation. The library also serves as a museum where relics of the earliest history of Old Saybrook may be seen. Postcard was never mailed.
