DescriptionHarker Hall is the oldest and arguably the most charming building still standing on the University of Illinois campus. Harker Hall was built in 1878. When first built, it was a chemical laboratory. It is now home to the U of I Foundation. In 1896, a fire destroyed most of the interior of Harker Hall. From 1902 to 1926, it housed the College of Law.
