DescriptionThe "Tilbury Flash" is shown on the grounds of the Bloomington Airport, Illinois. It was a small racing airplane, with an 18-foot wing span and a motorcycle engine. It hangs from the ceiling at the McLean County Musuem of History.
InterpretationThe "Tilbury Flash" was flown regularly in air races during the 1930's. In 1933, Art Carnahan flew the airplane in Chicago and won the race at 114.92mph.
