Coverage / Year1909
DescriptionA map of McLean County sits in the middle of a corn school exhibit at a December 17, 1909, Teacher's Institute in Normal, Illinois.
InterpretationBy 1895, agriculture had been added to the courses of reading, writing, and arithmetic in schools. The projects included seed testing projects and other scientifc tests which eroded traditional farming methods.
